Percy Hynes White

From an early age, Percy Hynes White has excelled at acting. The son of industry luminaries Joel Thomas Hynes and Sherry White, he grew up in Newfoundland, Canada. His first small role came at age 7, in the film “Down to the Dirt.”

Five years later he landed a role in the comedy “The Great Seduction.” One year later he was cast as the star in the horror film, ”Cast No Shadow.” Joel Thomas Hynes played his father in the film.

Next came starring roles in the thriller “Edge of Winter” and the series “Murdoch Mysteries.” Percy is perhaps best known for playing the character Xavier Thorpe in the Netflix series, “Wednesday,” created by Tim Burton.

He is also known for his portrayal of the character Andy Strucker in the X-Men series “The Gifted” on CTV, and his roles in “A Christmas Horror Story” and the television series “Between.”

Whistle

Filming has begun on Whistle, the Black Bear Pictures horror thriller that pairs Percy Hynes White with a cast that includes Dafne Keen, Sophie Nélisse, Sky Yang and Nick Frost. Powered by Owen Egerton’s high-anxiety screenplay, the adventure ignites when high school friends find the Aztec Death Whistle, an artifact director Corin Hardy describes as “a cursed object that summons your future death to come and find you.” Locked in a struggle with phantoms from the future, the cast races to uncover the whistle’s ancient secrets.
